| 1999 | NARES2 becomes a site for Vaxgen's AIDSVAX™ B/B, the first HIV vaccine. |
| 1999 | NARES2 begins psychosocial research. |
| 1999 | NARES2 expands to include general medicine clinical trials under the auspices of Nevada Access to Research and Education Society (NARES2). |
| 2002 | NARES2 presents at the XIV International AIDS Conference in Barcelona, Spain. |
| 2004 | NARES2 carries out first Phase I clinical trial. |
| 2006 | Nevada Antimicrobial Research Foundation (NARF) founded within NARES2 to better carry out research with infectious diseases. |
